3rd Sunday Fellowship Meal - "SoupSunday"
We love to eat together at North Baltimore Mennonite and we are constantly looking for reasons to have a potluck. Our third Sunday fellowship meals will resume in September.

Sunday School Kick Off
Join us for the start of a new school year. Sunday School for children kicks off for the year on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Sunday School for children is suspended for the summer. Adult Sunday School contiues with a special class on listening prayer. Childcare is available during the Sunday School hour.
Every fall, our church community gathers at Camp Hebron in Halifax, Pennsylvania for a weekend of fellowship and spiritual nourishment. Each retreat includes a guest speaker, activities for children and youth, and child care. Our 2017 retreat is planned for September 29 - October 1. Please contact the church office for more information.
Pray with us on November 2 and November 7 for the visible body of Christ, the church, and for our witness as people of God in a divided society. These are community events--all are welcome.
Wednesday, November 2, at 7:00 p.m. Intercessory prayer for the unity and witness of the Christian Church We will pray to acknowledge the reign of God, to remember God’s dream for his people, to acknowledge and confess our shortcomings, and to intercede for the church.
Monday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m.: Ecumenical communion service before Election Day We will focus our service at the Lord’s table on the reign of Christ in our lives, praying for healing in our church and our nation, for a peaceful political process. Communion is a symbol of our oneness in Christ, even if we vote differently the next day.
Childcare is available for both services.
Community Thanksgiving Service
Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 7:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Interfaith Community of Roland Park, of which NBMC is a part. An all-assembly choir rehearsal will begin at 6:30 pm. A potluck dessert will follow the service. The Corner Community Center, 5802 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, will host in 2015.

NBMC Christmas Celebration
The children will help to plan the worship service on December 18, 2016. They will present their talents during that time. Following that we will have a potluck meal and craft and service projects for all.
Christmas Eve Service
NBMC holds a Christmas Eve Service every year at 7:00pm. The service includes carol singing, a brief message, and a candlelight vigil followed by light refreshments. Please join us in the celebration of Jesus' birth!
Valentine's Dinner - Youth Fundraiser
Saturday, February 11, 2017 - This meal will feature Indian cuisine served buffet-style. Childcare is available and a separate meal will be provided for the children. Seatings at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 p.m. Reservations are required by February 5.
Ash Wednesday Service
We will gather for a reflective service between 6:30 and 8:30 on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The service will be a "Prayer Mosaic," an experiential and contemplative time of prayer for children and adults. Several stations will be set up, suitable for personal reflection or for quiet parent-child discussion. You can come as you are able and leave when you are ready. Childcare will be available during the first hour.
Spring Bible School
Sprng Bible School is an opportunity for our community to gather for a weekend, invite a guest speaker and leader to discuss the Bible and various topics of spirituality. In 2016 WBS was be Friday – Sunday, April 1-3. Our speaker is Kent Sparks, Associate Dean and Professor of Old Testament Studies at the Eastern University. His topic is "The Bible: True, Beautiful, and Scary."
Maundy Thursday Meal & Service
In 2017, Maundy Thursday is April 13. This year we will have a Seder Service, the traditional Passover Feast celebrated with traditional foods and music. The service is planned to include children, bue we recommend that you feed them a substantial snack in advance. The Lord's Supper will be included, in commemoration of the "First Last Supper." 6:30 p.m.
Every Easter Sunday, our church community meets together and celebrates Jesus' resurrection with a meal of eggs, breakfast casserole, and pastries. The meal is followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for the children and our Worship Service at 10:30am.
All women are welcome for this weekend of fellowship, worship, and much needed relaxation at Charter Hall, MD. The 2017 women's reatreat will be held April 21-23.
In 2017 there will be a Men's Retreat the weekend of May 12-14. For the third year this event will take place at Camp Wo-Me-To in Jarrettsville, MD.
